Friday, June 6: Kicking Off Sun Festival with Music and Memories
Friday on the Green (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM)
Presented by Russell Lands, Friday on the Green starts the festival with live music at Russell Crossroads. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and even your leashed pups for a fun and relaxing evening. This year features The Bank Walkers, a local favorite band sure to bring the energy.
Saturday, June 7: Superheroes, Trucks, and Lake Martin Cruises
Sun Festival Super Hero 5K (8:00 AM – 9:00 AM)
Kick off your morning by channeling your inner superhero. Whether you’re sprinting for glory or jogging for fun, the Super Hero 5K welcomes runners of all abilities. Capes encouraged!
Tykes in Trucks (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Perfect for families, this free event allows kids to climb aboard firetrucks, ambulances, tow trucks, and more. Enjoy face painting, games, and downtown treats in a lively, hands-on experience.
On the Pontoon (Two sessions: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
Take a two-hour pontoon cruise on the stunning waters of Lake Martin. Light snacks and drinks are included, making it a peaceful way to enjoy the lake’s natural beauty.
Monday, June 9: Magic and Bark in the Park
KidsFest: The Magic Show (10:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
Head to Mamie’s Place Children’s Library and be amazed by magician Gary Ledbetter. This family-friendly performance is packed with surprises.
Bark in the Park (6:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
Bring your four-legged friends for a red-carpet evening at the Sportplex. With awards for costumes, photo booths, and pet vendors, it’s a paw-sitively fun night!
June 10–14: Daily Medallion Hunts with $200 Prizes
Every day from Tuesday, June 10, through Saturday, June 14, tune in at 6 AM and 7 AM to The Front Porch/Kowaliga Country 97.5 for the first clues in the Sun Festival Medallion Hunt. Solve the riddles, find the medallion within Alexander City limits, and win $200! If it’s not seen by 3:00 PM, another clue will be released. Multiple medallions can be in play, so keep a lookout throughout the week.
Tuesday, June 10: Water Fun, Art, and Night Golf
KidsFest Splashplex (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
Dive into fun at the Charles E. Bailey Sportplex Splashplex with an inflatable slide, foam party, and Kona Ice treats.
Glow-in-the-Dark Golf Tournament (5:30 PM – 10:00 PM)
Golfers, enjoy nine holes of daylight golf, followed by dinner and nine glow-in-the-dark holes. Space is limited, so register early for this one-of-a-kind experience.
Canvas & Cocktails (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
Unleash your creativity with this paint-and-sip night. Cost is $35 per person. Reserve your spot by May 30 to enjoy an evening of art, laughter, and good company.

Wednesday, June 11: Bingo, Ice Cream, Art, and Worship
Bingo at CACC (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM)

Celebrate America’s Heroes (10:30 AM – 1:00 PM)
Veterans at Bill Nichols State Veterans Home will be treated to music and lunch as we honor their service.
Pickleball Tournament (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM)
Grab your partner for mixed doubles in this high-energy tournament. The entry fee is $50 per team, with prizes for the top three teams.
YP Trivia Night (6:30 PM – 8:00 PM)
Hosted by Lake Martin Young Professionals at The Local at 41 Main, Trivia Night brings fun and a chance at cash prizes. Gather your team and showcase your expertise!
Friday, June 13: Wet ’n Wild and the Start of Jazz Fest
KidsFest Wet ‘n Wild (8:30 AM – 11:45 AM)
