That friendship came full circle when Haley learned of an opportunity to purchase a floral business in Dadeville, Alabama. Years earlier, she had told the previous owner she wanted first notice if the shop ever came up for sale. When the call finally came, Haley immediately thought of Tabatha, and together they saw it as an answered prayer.
From Classrooms to Creativity
Though both women began as teachers, their careers took different paths. Haley transitioned into residential real estate and now works with Big Fish Real Estate Group, while Tabatha continued teaching but always nurtured her love for flowers on the side. With Tabatha’s 30 years of floral experience, particularly in weddings and sympathy arrangements, they began fulfilling orders immediately. At the same time, they launched a renovation of the shop to better serve walk-in customers. Their vision included a cooler stocked with ready-made arrangements and a gift shop filled with tasteful, curated items.
On September 6th, they celebrated with a grand opening ceremony. Both women remain busy in their full-time roles, supported by a dedicated staff that helps keep Petal House thriving. Haley notes that their lives are full—her husband is a football coach, their children are involved in multiple activities, and Tabatha’s husband runs a busy electrical company. Yet, they feel blessed to pour their passion into Petal House.
