From cookouts to fireworks shows to floating parties, there’s no place like Lake Martin for celebrating the Fourth of July! The holiday is fast approaching and our calendar is filling up fast with parties and celebrations all around the lake. We’ve pulled together a list of the must-attend Independence Day events just for you.
The Fourth of July Boat Parade—July 4 from 10am to 11am
One of the most well-known traditions at Lake Martin is the Fourth of July Boat Parade. Whether you decorate your boat with flags and bunting to parade or idle along the route as a spectator, it is a ton of fun for all ages. The parade starts at Kowaliga Marina and slowly progresses to Children’s Harbor—and of course prizes are awarded for tallest flag, largest flag, most creative theme and most patriotic crew.
July 4th Concert and Fireworks—July 4 starting at 6:30pm
Touted as the largest in the Southeast, the fireworks show at Lake Martin is an absolute spectacle to behold! You can watch from your boat or head over to The AMP On Lake Martin to sit on the grassy lawn and enjoy the sky bursting with colors. Two musical performances will also take place at The AMP adding to the party atmosphere. Local cover band Banks Walker will perform at 6pm with the popular Andrew Jannakos taking the stage at 8pm and again at 9:30pm when the fireworks show ends.
Live Music, Arti Gras and Yoga at Russell Crossroads—June 30-July 2
Russell Crossroads will be hopping with events leading up to the Fourth! Musician Jonathan Bloom will perform for Friday on The Green June 30 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Bring your yoga mat and start your Saturday, July 1, with a session of yoga on The Green with Abby Glass from 7am to 8:30am. You may want to stick around after yoga and peruse the great art featured in Arti Gras July 1-2 from 9am to 4pm. You will find many handmade treasures from artists hailing from all over the Southeast.
Four Nights of Concerts at Copper’s Grill at Stillwaters—June 30-July 3 at 7:30pm
If you love live music, Copper’s Grill is the place to be this Fourth of July holiday. Here’s the musical lineup:

- July 1—Dalton Bush Band
- July 2—Sid Phelps & Orlando Mendez
- July 3—The Burn Downs
The Landing at Parker Creek—July 1 and July 3
Get ready for a good time Saturday, July 1, at The Landing at Parker Creek as DJ Sillz will be entertaining the crowd from 5pm to close—it will be a blast! On Monday, July 3, you can enjoy a full body workout by Three15 Studio. It’s a free 45 minute mat class on the green (BYOM – bring your own mat). Best of all, participants will enjoy a complimentary mimosa at the end of the class!

Blue Creek Fireworks Show—July 4 at 8:30pm
For a more intimate—yet still fabulous—fireworks show, boat over to Blue Creek to watch a fireworks show set to a wonderful patriotic playlist blasted throughout the cove. You will love the up close and personal vibe of this fun fireworks show!
